An act of sacrifice all of those years ago has given me the freedom to live.
That act of sacrifice has promised me eternal life because, God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
If it wasn’t for the blood of the lamb we’d be doomed.
If God didn’t love us and give His only Son, we wouldn’t be free.
If they didn’t crown His precious head with thorns and pierce those nails into His hands, where would we be?
For us, He made Himself nothing (Philippians 2:7). He made Himself obedient to death (Philippians 2:8) and set us free.
The blood that was shed on Calvary saved us then, saves us now and is the same blood that will save us again tomorrow.
The blood of the lamb will free you from bondage so that you can have eternal life.
Whilst this time of year perhaps warrants more thought regarding the blood of the lamb, it is an important fact that we should acknowledge daily.
He died for our sins and rose again so if we give it all to Him and repent, we too can rise and have life. We too can rise above the sin and shame and walk in His righteousness. We can have eternal life.
Oh, how precious is that blood, that cleansing blood from Calvary!
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one, our Lord Jesus Christ, shall many be made righteous (Romans 5:19).
The ones He came to save might have mocked Him but who can truly mock the author of salvation?
Who can honestly think that any act they do is greater than that of the Almighty?
He conquered the grave.
He LIVES today.
We live today because of Him and there truly is no greater love.
If you believe with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead then you shall be saved (Romans 10:9).
