Christianity is all about spreading the Gospel and winning souls for the Kingdom and I believe this is exactly what youth pastors do.
I’ve seen the youth grow in church because they have a dedicated youth pastor and youth team; another support system. They sit with their parents in the main service but the youth services they attend also help them grow as individuals and get to know eachother; they’re in a place where they can ask and not just listen. The youth services they attend mean that they can rise up and take service in the main church every once in a while; they can go out and pray, build their confidence and go forward in Christ. The youth pastor and the team help guide them (alongside the main pastor and family); they help the youth find a way to do what Christ commissioned.
I think youth pastors and/ or teams are essential because the youth is the next generation and also because you can never have enough support…
